i have a problem playing f1rc online...i can host or join but when the game starts i am stuck on the grid. i can turn the wheels and when i depress the accelertor the indicator bar moves, gears change ok...hope someone can help.

Have you tried reinstallind DirectX or the software for your controller? |

Hmm.. There's an updated DX8 that fixes some issues. Your controller isn't by chance using USB?
IIRC the updated DX8 is called DX8aandb.. something like that.
I downloaded it sometime ago. |

alsorted now m8...thks 4 the advice....yes the wheel was a msff usb....a little help 2 every1....dont load the software version 4...let windows me load the default driver (hid driver) u will get better feel and more responce.....laterz. : |

Hmm.. Some USB devices when installed incorrectly will show the "HID-Compliant" tag. That's usually when you install the hardware prior to the software. The fix is to kill the registry of the hardware that you installed and then install the software, followed by hardware.
I know that W9x/Me systems have problems with some of these USB devices when installed incorrectly.
It's been awhile since I have had the MS FF wheel so I don't remember but I do know that most Flight Sticks of the USB kind run into this problem. |
