it is a real copy i got it working had to uninstall reinstall and then run repair then she worked i saved my settings first though yee ha im racing tonite guys thanks I bought this at comp usa it is full realease... this is so bogus when me or any of my friends try to play it comes up on the screen saying version expired please contact ratbag for update wtf do i do help me please minirailman

Let me get back to you on this...I have a direct line to Ratbag, but it may take a day or 2 to get a reply from them. I have not had the same problem here, and it kinda makes me wonder, did you download it, or buy the CD, or is it possible that you got ahold of a beta version?????

Sounds like you may have gotten a BETA version but I don't know for sure.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tonight was the first I got the error.. This is what I did to fix it.. Put in the cd.. Click uninstall.. On the uninstall screen , click repair.. This fixed the error and I stil had all my skins and tracks and soforth.. Hope this helps

Mini, You bought this at COMPUSA??????? Hmm.. I think we need to get a RatBags person in here to help resolve this issue. You wouldn't by chance have a pic of the CD do you?

Would it be possible a shipment of bad or old BETA disks got into your local COMP USA? It seems like something like that could happen easy enugh. Yes, JD may have hit something with what the disk looks like. The disk should have the Leadfoot winged logo at the top, with FEEL THE POWER under it but still above the hole. On the far left should be the E logo and compact disk marking. On the far right should be the Ratbag logo and at the bottom should be infogrames. The back ground should be grey with an abstarct buggie and 5 4 3 2 1 in the lower left. If your disk is NOT like this your local COMP USA seems to have gotten either a BETA batch or a just plain bad batch. Either way CALL or E-MAIL RATBAG or maybe JD could get RATBAG to come here and explain to all but you are the only person on this bouard having the problem so... Sorry, I don't have a scanner to scan in a pic of the disk but the description is pretty good. P.S. I am asuming your friends and you all have your OWN coppy and it's not just your copy n all there PCs.

I had the same problem. Let me share what I ran into. I have the correct CD. But I also had the NOCD patch installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it worked fine until I put the NOCD patch back in. Then I got the same error that the version had expired. Reinstalled the game again and it works. Don't know for sure what will happen 30-60 days from now. Kind of sounds like it is related to the patch.

Probably some legal thing. Game makers don't like no CD patches.
