Total BS

"Describe the game: a stadium bassed off-road racing simulation. Elaborate: souped-up trucks and buggies driving around dirt tracks and over jumps and bumps for whooping Yanks' amusement. Speculate wildly how many people are interested in the sport over here: five. Try to explain why people should care: the game attempts to recreate the thrills and excitement of meaty, throbbing engines and stomach-churning stunts. But? Fails. Why? Extremely difficult handling. How? Oil on an ice rink grip and oversensitive steering. |
What the hell, this isn't pavement its MUD! It should be slippery. Oversteer? Ever watch a WoO race? Apparently not. 5 people????

Does this result from an attempt to steer away from instant access arcade action towards a simulated physics approach? Yes. Anything else? An anal level of detail in relation to tuning your vehicle. Isn't that a good thing? Not if you have to do it to come in anything higher than last place. Aren't you just being shit? No. Reason? This is on the lowest difficulty setting. Explain difficulties in relation to driver AI: they never make mistakes. What are the consequences of turning AI down to 0 per cent? The cars at the back go slightly slower but still follow a near perfect racing line |
Well somebody can't drive! What do they mean, perfect AI? The AI runs each other off the road and makes mistakes?! NEED SETUP?? I beat the amature carrerr mode with only the stock setup!

Return to a description of modes: two - quick race and career. Was career enjoyable? Not really. Why? The soul-sapping atmosphere, mechanical tinkering and lack of instant accessibility deterred me from generating the sort of immediate arousal expected from the sport. |
In other words the only games u can dive are need for speed and test drive.

? Difficult handling
? Overly tough competitors
? Void atmosphere
? Mechanical attention to detail
Bet that can be said about N4 too but ain't givin it no 52%.

Where was this review at Crash ??
If he thinks Leadfoot is slippery, wait until he gets a chance to play Rally Trophy in the snow. Talk about some oversteer... |

To funny Crash. I guess this means he sucked at Leadfoot. Hell I think it's the funnest racing game I have ever played.
Maybe he better stick with Driver and go jack some ones car. |

Hell i only played it maybe 3 hrs total although i do own it just haven't got into it that much but i DO know it would be ALOT of fun playing online! Maybe he should take his chevette down a windy dirt road at about 50 mph and then rewrite his review |

I downloaded the demo and I am having a blast with the 2 tracks and the 2 cars, it feels pretty good physics wise to me, and you can certainly get a lot better after a couple of hours, I get annoyed at people that drive a sim for five mins, and say I can't do this it's no good. |
