Petter Solberg has put his name on a rallygame.. The game is under development now.

Sources in norwegian:
https://www.vg.no/pub/vgart.hbs?artid=127230
https://www.hegnar.no/Finansavisen/newsdet.asp?id=226725&cat=12
https://n24.no/boers-og-finans/article1428703.ece

He has invested som millions NOK into this company called Momentum, that I am unable to find any information about. The owner of that company also is also the chairman of playsafe holding, https://www.playsafeholding.com/, and that makes me worried..
The only quotation from him in the news is: "and it's important to remember that Petter is bigger in Japan and many other countries than in Norway"...

W00t??? Of course Petter is bigger in other countries, other countries are bigger than norway. I don't want to be mock Japan here, but if they are targeting a rallygame towards Japan I am thinking about Mario Bros Rally...

I sent an email to the journalist at vg.no (norways biggest newspaper) where I mentioned my worries, and he replied to me that he totally agreed and was working on an article about it...

Well... It would be a miracle that the game would be better than RBR...

Anybody remembers a game called Tommi Makinen Rally? If I remember well, it was released after the success of CMR first game, trying to take the most of this success. I tried the demo, and it was like a REALLY BAD need for speed 1.... I hope that this new game follows the steps of RBR, and not the ones of TMR and CMR...

Why are you worried about this company owner? What is playsafeholding?

Oh dear!
Still must not prejudge the situation.
We should wait until its release and then have a good laugh if it turns out that they've gone down the 'realism doesn't matter' route. As i suspect i will be doing when CMR DIRT comes out.
Then settle back to a good rally session on RBR instead.
Why not lobby SimBim and try get them to make something that gives Rally Sims the same attention as they did to GTR2 (with a mod GUI for track building, of course)
I do pity Mr Solberg if he puts his name to something that turns out to be rubbish

I wonder when we'll see Loeb's or Gronholm's rally game?

LOL

This is on his blog:

Yesterday I had some good fun – with both driving and playing! During the launch of my new partnership with Microsoft and the new Petter Solberg Rally , I got to both drive and play. I think the game is really fun and it’s hard to stop chasing for a better time. And I promise you, if any one registers with a better time than mine, I will start again to get back on the top. On the other hand, I hope that many of you will beat me, so that I can spend even more time getting my best time back.

Driving with the press and others is also good fun. This is show, and I get to do a lot of donuts. Some might say I came out a little too tough – with a puncture on the first round….
