Nice thought, man! We don't necessarily need gravel and snow for rallying. Several tarmac rally stages and few rally cars will be great for a start. At least Super Special Stages if first release won't have full support of rally stages.

quarter 4 2006 or quarter 1 2007... but i dunno.... the devs seem to be hard at work but i'd be suprised and happy if i could buy something by december.  |

You're not the only one! I'm hoping so very bad that there will come a decent rallycross game on pc.
First I hoped on RBR mod or something.
Then Drivers Republic was coming and a rally(cross) mod.
And sometime later Colin McRae rally would have a rallycross mode.
The first isn't yet alive.
The 2nd died.
The 3th has kept his promise, but is total crap. |

how do you know Drivers Republic "died"?
projects like this take years to see the light, and they also take alot of resources.
unless i've missed some recent official anuncement, all we know is the DR devs are curently involved in another project, and this can only be good for the future of DR.
personally i choose to wait and hope and i don't see any reason to do otherwise. |
