This site is dead. It is no longer the resource it once was. I'm not entirely sure why (lack of interest, death in the family, dog in heat, cash-grab for advertising revenue - pick your reason).
No SimRacing Awards anymore - no reason given.
No recent reviews (last one was GTR 2 in October of 2006) - no reason given.
No recent articles - if there is one, I've not seen it.
Poorly maintained file section - good luck finding what you need (and even if you do; it's old and out of date.)
No Previews since Grand Prix Racing Manager in October of 2005. No reason given.
Did your computer catch fire?
Do you have to use the local library computer to maintain this site?
Did drunk monkeys high-jack your home and you're actually living on the street?
Did you finally start dating and the distraction of romance has spoiled you for continuing with Blackhole Motorsports?
These are just a few of the questions inquiring and bored minds want answers for.
Lets hope that it's nothing trivial that has kept you from maintaining this once glorious tribute to SimRacing.

hello,
That was very inappropriate!
this seems a good post for my reply.
Perspectives are funny, I have been away from not only here but the internet for a while, recently getting the itch to do some more modding for my self or community. anyways i find this a valuable resource site as it always has been.. will take me quite a while to see what is new myself and where i wanna go.
Btw... thank you David for getting me back online |

It is hardly "inappropriate" to point out that this site has been dying a slow and brutal death. I hardly think that commenting on the death-throws of BHMS and it's lack of news, of any kind, is "not cricket".
I obviously care about the site otherwise I would not of posted what I did. My points are valid, like it or not, and any debate to the contrary is simple ignoring the facts.
I appreciate the fact that David is busy, but to try to explain away the void of news and reviews on this site as "busy with the holidays" is insulting given that the last review was October 2006 and so I guess what your telling me is that David has been busy with the holiday Season of 2006 for 14 months.
As to the quality of race sims released since the last review on BHMS, there are plenty to review (good, bad or otherwise) and to imply otherwise is just blowing smoke up David's butt and is, again, insulting to other users.
This site used to be a resource; now it is not.

I think it's part of the fragmentation of the sim racing community.
There's plenty of life in the Nascar & RBR sections but with so many one sim sites plus the dominance of RSC and now No Grip for Simbin titles & rfactor central there's bound to be a decrease in activity.
But it's still a good friendly site to visit.
And I'm sure the people who come here appreciate the work put in by all who admin it.
Have a good holiday season all.
