Been PC racing for a while, but I'm looking to buy a PS2. But i need some input on what you folks think is a good console system.
XBox, XBox 360, Wii, PS2 or PS3? (<--PS3 is sorta out of the question cause i'm not THAT rich, lol)
Any input on console experiences will greatly help me out!

PS3 actually costs less than a 360, because microsoft make u buy a load of addons for 360 to make it anywhere near as good as ps3. plus ps3 internet is free, whereas to get inet on the 360 u have to pay a monthly fee. ps2 and xbox are a bit old and outdated now, and the wii isnt good for racing lol, wii is fun but only with other ppl to play with u, so IMO PS3 is the best unit to go for i know there will be 360 fanboys moaning at my point of view but meh, stuff em  |

I would say PS3. You do not have to buy memory cards; you have backwards combatibility,and you can buy different size hard drives. Two that I know of.
Final choice is up to you.

consoles are a step down from PC. its like going from heaven to hell. good bye mods. good bye racing online for FREE (xbox live = $$). we take it for granted that we can be playing games online and pay absolutely nothing.
wii sucks it hard. nintendo used to be cool. but they strayed away from the very people who bought all their games and made them a success in the 80's 90's. it seems like nintendo is on crystal meth right now.
microsoft is the most greedy company ever. i dont want to get into it.
PS2- ps2 is great, but after over 7 years you are just getting it NOW? too late for that.
i dont have a PS3, but i think its the best. you can also play the huge library of PS2 and PS1 games.

Hey, i never had the means to even afford a PS2. That required money which i lacked for a good long while. So am i getting it now? Hell yeah! Cause now i can afford one @ $129.

Ps3's online play is free.. unlike the 360's live. and i must say that the PsHome feature looks awesome and i think its miles better than xboxlive.
I think the ps3 will be great for online racing. especially with titles like GT5 and with FFB now working with wheels on ps3 it will be amazing

ight ight hold on here...let the gamer talk...ive played everything on the market...and let me say this...the WII is something else...too cartoony....the 360 and 360 eliete is slammin....but ive been raised in a PS family so the edge overall goes to the PS2 or PS3
