I recently upgraded the drivers on my Nvidia 7900GT Video card. Up until then Grand Prix Legends was working fine. After the driver upgrade when I went on track the screen was black except for the top left corner. The game didn't lock up, I could hear the motor rev when I hit the throttle and I could exit the screen.
I switched the graphic setting to OpenGL and everything was working fine. But then every once in a while my screen will go black. Again the game doesn't lockup, the car is still going I just can't see it. I exit to menu and the screen comes back up and I can start over.
does anyone know what is causing this? I don't recall this happening before I installed the new drivers. I run GPL through GEM, and I'm using the 67 cars, though the mods are installed.
thanks for any help |

I remember having this problem a while back when switching drivers. Is v-sync off ? It's one of the setting in the driver control panel but I'm at a loss to remember which one. You might want to just revert back to the old driver.

Check your core.ini file for this edit.
What finally got vid card working for me again was:
- I had the D3D update readme.txt file "core.ini" suggested settings already loaded
- make sure you make the core.ini [D3D7] "DirectMirrorRendering=0" as
