hmm, I dont know if it relais on this topic or not. I have been playing rbr quite a while, and this install has been there for few months, I didnt make any modifications when the lag appeared. The only thing is that I installed Gt legends demo, tried it, deleted it, and in RBR a lag appeared. Its like a loss of power, I drive sideways and the wheel loses contact, the cars wheels just flip to straight.... and if I drive real agressively the car just goes the other way sometimes, I thought it could be the wheel, but about a year ago I had the same annoying problem wich completely steals the driving fun I dont remeber what did I finally do to get ride of it.. I just remember that I did countless all rbr files delete, even downloaded a version from da internet, but nothing worked.... The problem I guess dissapeared when I reinstalled the game 1 month later on a formated computer .....
And now out of nowhere its happening again, its like a bad contact, the wheel loosens up at that moment too... But here is the thing why I think its the game not the wheel, in LFS I feel and havent wittnesed a single smirk of that problem... So anyone ? |

Sounds weird...
maybe you messed up your Logitech Profiler software's game profiles? Do you use those profiles for different games? |

well, maybe the gt legends setup interfeered, because I dont use the wingman profiler, and its like I am driving I turn the wheel, but sometimes it responds wierd, and the thing ist that I turn and the car goes straight hmm its like a bad contact, maybe the feedback is broken but dont think so./// |

- i noticed that i can control easier and better the stock impreza'03 than the addon fabia05 (with its own physics installed) and wow the Eddy3Spain addon xsara is so easy to drive or not? Is that an indication that the physics/setups play a role in the handling ? and that partialy its one of the directions that should be looked at too for improving handling ?
- I have a non FF Sidewinder MS Steering Wheel. How do i choose that 540 degrees option?
- Anyone having a mod that makes RBR driving same as the CMR2 please let me know
will be infinitely appreciated

Of course the addon cars' physics affects the handling. I'd suggest always trying default cars when you're playing around with the steering settings.

Eh... you don't need to and I guess you can't. Your wheel only has 240 (?) degrees steering. 540 mode is only for DFP (Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel).

What...? That would be the worst mod ever for RBR. CMR2 sucks.

i ve been driving RBR for quite long time and i didnt realise a lag like u mentioned but some times i felt somethings was wrong.Than i tried lots of thing, what is told here in bh.
My settings:
PC input filter.ini file ;
[STEER::BUTTON_DIGITAL]
Active = false
RiseRate = 3.0
FallRate = 5.0
maxSpeedFade = 0.5
MaxSpeedFadeSpeed = 27.0
[STEER::STICK]
Active = false
Parabolic = true
maxSpeedFade = 0.5
MaxSpeedFadeSpeed = 27.0
[STEER::AXIS]
Active = true
Parabolic = false
maxSpeedFade = 0.3
MaxSpeedFadeSpeed = 35.0
I use DFP at 540 degree without profiler, and 540 degree in car setup.İ set it up in *lsp files, so it comes 540 as default. i Use dtaker's WRC setups,
İ realised tonight that when i setup the fade in filter 100% settings like in picture, the steering felt totally different.
İ wonder if anybody tried that trick before, if so what were the results ? |

...you means that with the fade at 100% (as in your second photo) the steering is better? |

afaik that Maximum Fade actually means linearity / non-linearity (0% = linear). Am I right?
Actually, I have written here ( https://torttu.com/temp/rbr/ffb.txt ) much simplified instructions how to fix this lag issue, can someone read that and correct I have understood something wrong? I'm concerned I have misunderstood something because I have spread this link a lot and that would be bad thing...

...DAMN! I'm having your same problem....after I installed gt legends this lag (that seems as a bad contact) appeared to me in richard burns....now I don't thik that is due to the wheel, beacouse until the night before it worked perfectly...now I have formatted but the problem seems to persist...have you solved it?

...I've solved....those "bad contacts" we caused by rbr running with normal priority...so has been necessary to reduce the priority in order to get those lags disappear... |

So reducing RBR to "Low Priority" fixed the problem? This did not have to be done before how come now it has to be done?
I have GT Legends and RBR and now I am afraid to install GT Legends after having so much fun in RBR and reading this topic. |
