Hi all you genius guys programming, modding and altering games. I have a Q for you. 
Would It be possible to make a mod for one of the games featuring standardcars (or non standard cars for that matter) where the control of one car could be turned over from one driver to another in a specific race?
for instance a mod for 99-02 where we could drive a 24 hour race (Le Mans!?!) and team up say 3 guys and take turns driving a car, and switch driver in the pits, (in GTR you can turn the control over to AI driver but that´s not fun) If it is possible we could form teams just in real life, and the teams could race aginst each other and we could make championships.
the teammembers could team up in a on-line server, password protected, and drive until another took over.
That would make a 24 hour race seem reasonable (not to mention FUN) and the teams could benefit from beeing in different timezones.
Am I totally in the wilderness here or could something like that be made? 
I have written to some of the gamecompanies (looks misspelled) and suggested it to them, but why wait, if some of You guys could do it. It seems to me that there are not much you cannot do. (just take a look af the RBR online-modding)
