What's this demo thing about?
A mod for the F1C demo?
A demo version of a mod you have to pay for?
or an early BETA on public release? |

Demo of the Mod. Not a beta, just a demo so that people can try it out before the full release is ready.

There is a mod for F1Challenge that models 74-75 seasons. While each car is carefully modelled, the developers created a Demo for the community to try a few cars on a few tracks (and since you can add tracks on your own, it's not a problem). There are a total of 9 cars now - from 4 manufacturers. The updade includes physics fixes and a new car (Lotus 72E).
Or read the description on the dl page for 74-75 Mod, with more info here
And it's free.

it ain't, it is a demo.
some of the stuff still is in alpha stage, so it can't be a beta |

I didn't say it wasn't a demo. I just felt it was important that people were aware that it was by no means fully representative the final product. Whether software is alpha or beta seems to depend on your definition of the terms. The term beta is often applied to the first public release, but there are other usages.
For all those who are still confused, perhaps the final word should come from CREW

No part of this demo version may be considered as the final product. Tracks, cars and other game features will be submitted to further development. |
