Hi all !
I like very much this game, and I am thinking about to buy it when it will arrive here, in Brazil... So far, I just have the demo version, and the game seems good (I am not a hardcore sim race driver, so, what matters for me is fun...) The graphics are impressive, and the physics do not seems bad...
Anyway, I think that there is a big problem with this game: the COCKPIT VIEW... I really dont know what is happening with the mind of the race games developers presently... As in the Race Driver 2 (and Xpand Rally is worse in this specific item), it seems that we need to pilot the car with our noise binded/attached at the windglass... It's NOT A REAL POSITION of drive (perhaps for some very old people, more than 100 years old, and with view problems...) In my personal opinion, the COCKPIT VIEW of this game is WEIRD... Unfortunatelly this happens, because it seems a good game overall... Well, all that I said is for to formulate this question:
- Is there some known way to EDIT the cockpit view of Xpand Rally?
As a reference, with the Race Driver 2 game, this problem can be solved by editing this view (and the final result is very better than the original solution provided by Codemasters...).
Any useful information would be very appreciated! From this "answer" (if YES or NOT), is depending my decision of buy (or not) this game, because I really feel worry with this "detail" ...

But... There is none read-me file inside that zip file... And it seems a file that gives access to all cars of the FULL game (what is really good, if it works...). But, concerning to the edition of the cockpit view, it seems that this file will not to work, unfortunately... As I don't have the full game (only demo), perhaps it is not useful for me, for the time being...

Wow !!! That's what I was wishing very much, murkz!
Thanks a lot for your suggestion! I downloaded the file you linked and I got a way to change the cockpit view; nice job !!
By changing the cockpit view, there are, at least, 02 very good results:
1) The in-car view is more realistic (much more, in my opinion...)
2) There is a sensible gain of FPS when playing, because one part of the screen is practically immovable, and the landscape view (which is very heavy, in terms of graphics requirement), is smaller (what, of course, makes impact in the FPS).
Any thing we can do to increase the FPS (related to this game), is good, because it is a real HARDWARE SUCKER!!! Hehehehee...
I have attached one screenshot, with my new cockpit view... The only bad thing is that (it seems), unfortunatelly, the game do not automatically memorize our changes; so, we need to adjust every time we play... Anyways, it do not reduce the great worth of this utility!!
