I probably am not far enough along in either to be absolutely sure but I haven't bothered with CMR05 for a few days now. I am trying out other racing games that I had tried before I got the wheel so I'm not just strictly rallying. I am not a hardcore gamer I don't get a lot of time to play so it's only for enjoyment and I can't say I got much pleasure out of CMR05.
I am also trying World Racing & Toca Race Driver 2 since I'm off work this week and the weather is crap it looks like I may get some serious racing in.
God bless the wheel.
Cheers

I would get Xpand, in almost every way Im pretty sure its going to be a better game than CMR05

Im with Kenpat, I loved CMR2, I have CMR4, which hardly ever gets played, but even if CMR5 and Xand have close to the same physics, I would still rather have Xpand due to its tools.

also, Ken, when I ordered the game, it didnt have the conversion, it showed as $208.xx.
when I emailed them about it, the reply I got said that was in their currency.
but that was over 3 weeks ago, and still no game, my guess is there was a fubar somewhere along the lines and they just cancelled it. Confused

I paid the extra for fast delivery and sure enough it arrived within the 7 day period. I still cannot be bothered with CMR 05 I thought I might put it on since I was off work but with the steering wheel I'm discovering new driving games that are really brought to life by a wheel. I actually went online and played Live for Speed today not bad for an old duffer.(I came 3rd out of 6)

I tried CMR05 later last night and I did not find it much fun after playing so many others through the day. It is difficult to believe that Codemasters could have reduced such a great game as CMR 2 to the driving mess that is CMR05. I keep hoping that it will grow on me, if not a christmas present for one of the grandchildren maybe.

I got Xpand Rally today, and I have to admit that Im very dissappointed! I dont know happened but the physics are totally screwed up Question I think the Multiplayer Demo had the best physics. Now the cars feel even worse than CMR. Did anyone notice that? or is just me cuz I play RBR alot? Twisted Evil

I found that some cars, mainly the more powerful ones, were not good on earlier tracks, for instance you had to work with smaller cars to get round the Grand Canyon 2nd stage. When I tried it with the Subaru I could hardly stay on track with the Peugot it was much more lifelike. But with some tweaking to setups I think it is a very drivable game.
I was off work last week and with a new steering wheel I played quite a few driving games, in comparison to LFS, RBR and the GTR demo you're right but I still found it a fun game. I suppose the physics of Rally Championship 2000 are'nt the greatest but I found sweating my way through 25 minute stages dammed good fun, and I see Xpand in the same light.
