How do I prevent mechanical failures on my car in GPL? It is probably from over revving the engine when shifting gears. I have played with various failure percentages in various .ini files, but I still get failures. I am getting more and more of them during races. This is annoying, and it is preventing me from learning tracks and tuning my car. I don't want to resort to auto shifting. Is there a failure on/off parameter or is there an editor or utility that can prevent mecanical failures? I am new to GPL and to Blackhole Motorsports. Thanks. Wild Willy

You may get better results at the GPL forum.

I'll offer what I can, though I'm new to it. Over-reving the engine often occurs from staying on the accelerator when changing gear - these are old cars with no over-rev limiter - so remember to back off when you change. Otherwise, you could try learning the tracks and trying set-ups in training mode with the damage set to 'none' if you aren't already.
