The 1 hour time limit seem to go very quick while playing this game. So the only thing that I can remember about it is that... Well I can't the play time was very limited to say the least. Did anyone get more out of it than I did? Is it worth the $29.95 they want to unlock the full version?

Idea Remember never walk away from a timed demo. Idea

Okay.... Yes I am repling to my own post, sad it is... But I do it for you! The scoop on this drag racing sim. Put it this way, if you liked Motor City online but you don't like paying the $9.95 a month this game is for you. Even though the price is right ($28.00) at Walmart it has it's pitfalls. The most irritating thing about the game is steering your car. Not that I'm going to claim to be John Force of sim driving land but trying to stear my 851hp Camaro and get to push the NOS button is like trying to tread a needle, in the dark, with boxing gloves on! Okay maybe not that bad. Even with the senitivty turned all the way down on the MS Wheel I still have serious problems with control. But other than with I like the game. The choice of muscle cars are good. The graphics on the older rods like 40 willys, 32 coupe are a little rough, there are no fenderless 32's and no way to remove them. For the most part other than replacing the rims, paint and decals that is as far as customizing your ride. But the amount of proformance parts are great. Not in the same detail as MCO but still good. If someone from Canopy games is reading this please make ASD2 I would love to beta test it for you.

hello,
I have an online community for Hot Rod: American Street Drag. I am in close contact with the creators of Hot Rod: American Street Drag. The scoop is on the game, they are comming out with HRASD2. Check out my site at https://www.HRASD.cjb.net. Since you are compairing MCO to HRASD, and MCO is much better, dont get me wrong. I talked to Mike Berglund, one of the creators, and he told us they only have a 6 person development team do develop the Hot Rod Games. Since MCO was created by a Big Gaming Company, EA GAMES, I think this game is great for the amount of developers and the amount of time they had to make this game happen. If you want to talk to the creators, Check out my site and the message board.

I considered it a compliment to be in the ballpark of MCO. The only reason why I did compare it to MCO is because the game is based on rear drive, front engine, American steel Hot Rods. Yes, alot of people like MCO but I got tired of paying $9.95 a month to play a game that I already paid $40.00 to own. I'm not going to compare it to NFS Underground because it is not in the same league. That is not to say that HRASD is not a good game. It is, I love it! me and my kids play it daily. Any game that can hold the attention of 13, 10, 37 year old kids for longer than a week is amazing! When HRASD2 comes out I will buy it!

If you could tell the developers to help with the control issue? Rolling Eyes

You need a good physics engine in a drag racing sim to really make the power come alive Cool

It should look like this Shocked
