MotoGP 2 AI & Bike Patch v. 1.0
[27-11-2003 | JZ | Comments (1) ]
From the author: "MotoGP2 is a game I have had for a while but like many people who prefer sims to arcade games didn`t play for too long because it was just not challengeing to play and the bike physics and AI were not very good. I got the game out again recently, to give it another try and after playing it again started to wonder if there was something I could do so I could get past turn one without being wrecked by an AI rider and if there was a way to make it more difficult and challenging to play. I spent a lot of time finding out as much as I could and made this patch."

MotoGP 2 Review at Khabal Gaming
[09-08-2003 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
Visually, the game has gotten upgrades to both the bikes and the tracks. All 10 of the original courses are here, along with six new ones to keep things fresh. New four-stroke bikes are now available to race alongside the standard two-stoke models providing a fresh challenge. The four-stroke bikes are more powerful, but they are heavier and more difficult to drive.

MotoGP 2 Review at Gamebiz

When you unlock a new track in career mode, Moto GP 2 gives a brief description of the location, and what its famous for. This is a nice little add-on that would be nice to see in other games, but is often looked over. They always finish their story with the track, and the conditions youre facing on them which gives them an excuse to gossip away about the city!

You'll want to complete the career mode, as it's the main way to open up new tracks and beef up your character, but there are also a few other modes of play that deserve some attention. There's the clever and addictive Stunt Mode, for one.

MotoGP 2 Review at Game Genie
[26-06-2003 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
MotoGP 2 is definitely not a pure simulation game as GP 500. Instead, this game offers a mix of arcade fun and simulation realism. There are the simulation settings (1-100) which allow you to control the realism of the physics simulation. Sadly the damage model still doesn't exist in any classical sense of the word, as your bike simply gets replaced after a crash, and you can continue the race with several seconds of delay. It doesn't matter how many times you crash, your bike is indestructible and you are immortal.

MotoGP 2 Review at Computer Games
[17-06-2003 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
As in any sim I thought there is a connection between sim level and damage but I was wrong because there is no damage not even visually. It doesn't matter how many times you crash, your bike will perform heavenly each time even if you've set sim level to 100. As I'm a curious person I entered the multiplayer and surprise: here the sim level is divided in three sections, off road sim, handling sim and collision sim, a collisions on/off option being also available.

When you first start Career mode, you are responsible for creating a racer. Choose from nine bikes, nine different leathers (those cute one-piece jump suits), customizable color combinations, logos, and numbers to create the rider that defines the ultimate champion. Along with the physical appearance of the bike and rider, you are given eighteen attribute points to be distributed among four categories (cornering, braking, acceleration, and top speed) to personalize your bike's performance.

MotoGP 2 Review at Grandprixoz
[10-06-2003 | JZ | Comments (0) ]
"From the beginning of the game it feels like familiar territory with the look and feel of the real MotoGP Championship but after a couple of laps and hours with it you will notice an attention to detail and the outright sense of speed which makes it one of the best simulations on the market today. Even if you are not into the MotoGP Championship, watch it and then after you have played MotoGP 2, you will think you are alongside Valentino Rossi..."
