If you buy one MotoGP review, this should be it
The debut year for Duke reviews on DVD is also far and away the best. It had a very interesting grid, from the not-yet-crowned Valentino Rossi to the still-competitive Garry McCoy. The commentary by Keith Huewen and Julian Ryder is the best of the I've heard (through 1989) in broadcast or a recording. Huewen and Ryder have a great rapport, and the ad-libs are brilliant. The race coverage and editing is high-quality: races are given an appropriate amount of time to unfold and the tension builds to the climax at Phillip Island, probably the best GP race ever. The last laps of a GP race have rarely seen such a numerous and aggressive mob as PI in 2001.
