Good, not great
This book could be considered an alternative to Volume One of "The Dust and the Glory" for readers who aren't interested in flathead-era Ford racing. There is really interesting coverage of the Sixties Indy engine program. A few of the photos are the same as "The Dust and the Glory," and a couple of the paragraphs read like direct lifts from it. There are some factual errors with contextual, non-Ford information (e.g., implying that Mark Donohue raced in the Indy 500 in 1968), but the primary information about the Ford racing program seems sound.
Fords always WIN!
I bought this book because I love anything to do with Fords made in the 60's, and especially the racing history. This book goes into depth on every aspect of racing of that era in great detail. If you are a serious Ford fan, or a serious race fan, then this book is for you.
