No amenity is lacking in this HO scale NASCAR set. It has a generous 23 feet of twisting, black track; a dual-lane lap counter; lane-switching and skidding inserts; a tune-up kit; and two hand-controllers. Rail guards and pennant flags give the track an official look. The two included NASCAR racers--though only 2.5 inches long--look and perform like the real thing. One flaunts a fire-licked DuPont design, the other a striped "Tony the Tiger" paint job. A low chassis offers stability, and wide rear tires ensure better traction. During our experiments at top speed (which the manufacturer clocks at about 1000 mph--to scale), the cars stayed down, and there were awe-inspiring grinding sounds during lane switches. The set requires an indoor space of at least 49 by 60 inches. --Diane Beall
Disappointed father in Denver
I purchased Like-Like slot car track for my two sons this past Christmas. I do not recommend this product. First, the controllers' wires are too short. Both racers must race from the same side of the track. When either car crashes, one racer must tiptoe through, or run around the entire track to retrieve the crashed car. Second, within an one or two hours of operation the contact shoes that make contact to the track become dirty, thus creating numerous dead spots and slow operating cars. It was fun for a short period. We've only used it two times and probably will not use it again. This product offers more frustration than enjoyment. It was a complete waste of money. Do not buy it!
