Hi Again Kai.. I've got to redraw 4 point's from the 10 i've gave you, after using it in the game, i think the shine is looking very artificial, it's not me dude. sorry.. I think that the carglass effect (shader) on the body is looking much more real, they idea is to have it, as a a shader instead of the carpaint, it gives it the newly washed car look, but of course Mud snow and Dust should be shown on the Car together with it.. Still it's great that you do the effort of making this mod, keep it on man, and maybe try some different thing's.. Just my 2 cent's on the matter, and meant as a positive feedback.. ;) Because no matter what, it's good that you do it. thanks for that m8. ;) |

Great that you keep on working on tweaking car shaders. Apparently not many people realize how big a difference a good setting for shaders can make in terms of graphic realism, with the same 3d models. What I think about your settings I wrote on the forum already. Starting from yours I reached what I think is a very nice effect. In comparison your carpaint still has a little too high value for Kf for me, giving that excessive (in my opinion) environmental reflectiveness. On the other side your CarGlass settings are still too bland. I set them to your CarPaint values basically, and been pretty satisfied with the results. The same applies with CarLight, usually implemented for headlights and backlights. Now those are usually made of very reflective materials, no point to make them pratically matt, like in the default, awful, settings. Overall the advatage is that in the shade there are (as far as my experience goes) no strange lights on the cars, nice reflections appearing only when the car is lit by the sun. Even more: with your settings for carpaint (slightly toned down to mine, actually) the "blinking effect" is considerably reduced. Which is pretty nice since rendering engine of RBR does not allow, apparently for partial lighting fo the car (it is either all in the sunshine or all in the shade) and other reflective shaders settings I tried usually feel awkward in comparison. I still can't understand how people can be fanatical about superdetailed car models and then have them shaded like cartoons with windows looking like they've been treated with some anti-glare coating from the outside. which is absurd, in my opinion. |
