This is a Mod replacing & enhancing certain areas of the Car sounds.
1. New Bangs
These bangs are a mix of various audio mods available, I narrowed them down and then mixed trail effects with other bangs and also removed some bangs to just trails. This now makes the bangs less like a machine gun going off at high revs and a little more of a balance so not every one is a bang, but a mix of bangs and just exhaust trail effect. I also EQ'd them to make them less bass orientated and more mid range and brighter. I found bangs from other mods to be too harsh and muffled with just too much emphasis on bang after bang than a blend of both.
2. New Gear Change
This is the original gear changes, eq'd so not as harsh and then added some extra trail off effects (actually blended from exhaust trails & turbo). Its just a little more "effect" to them than as they are original, realism or not I think it adds something more audible to them in-game.
3. New Tarmac Surface
I have taken the original which to me sounded like an "air blown under a carpet sound" and Eq'd it to make it more prominent & then overlayed some gravel particle effect subtle enough to give a sense of particles than just a "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound.
4. New Tarmac Skid
This has always been a funny one. Only 2 mods had a good skid and that is 2RE's & HDI. I still felt that another one too choose from might help :). I have taken 2re's skid and then extended it slightly longer and removed the "loop" from it a little more. I then tawled the net for a realistic asphalt skid for a while. I narrowed that down to one and then looped that over a period of time. I then Eq's the skid and then pitched it up to match the "screech" pitch of my modified 2re's skid. I then blended them together with 2re's lower underneath. The end result I was happy with, adds more "body" to the skid sound but retains the 2re's screech which is really nice.
5. Gravel Surface & Skid
This gravel skid and surface for the life of me I cant remember when i got these and where from. I know the gravel sound was posted on BHMS over year or even more in the "audio pool" section, if its yours I have added it as yours in this mod (no claim it is mine but was the very best I found) as I based the tarmac surface on the gravel so they both go together well, logical to keep them together for this mod.
5. New Blow Off Valve
This is an existing blowoff valve from I think HDI's mod (cant remember which as he released so many!). I then added a trail effect from another mods blow off valve, Eq'd it slightly together to create this one.

| Yes I feel the same too! Also I felt I had to explain to justify use of existing sounds and why/how I used them. https://bhms.racesimcentral.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=42768 This is where you can listen to audio clips also, and more info on other mos parts to use in combination. |
