This retextured version of Phoenix International Raceway contains files that bring the N2K2 version up to current-year signage (for the "Checker Auto Parts 500"). This track is re-textured with the goal of providing more realistic colors and surroundings of the track, with particular attention to the "crowd" detail and track surface coloring. In addition to this, when ever possible, I have attempted to alter the color and hue of the natural surrounding to be more realistic in comparison to real-world nature. Of course, the degree to which this is successful is in the eye of the beholder. All of the Papyrus "fake" Winston Cup signs and ads for prohibited products (alcohol and cigarettes) have been changed or added back into the track, consistent with the real track signage. In some cases, texture files have only been altered as to hue and color. In other cases, texture files have been completely re-created from scratch. In all cases, these are altered original Papyrus files and belong to Papyrus.
This track package also includes modified/updated AI provided by "JJ" Johnston, Duane Quintern and his brother, Pat Quintern (of "ShutupAndRace"). You will find the AI "race behavior" much improved and a better balance of turn speed verses straightaway speed than the Papy original Phoenix AI. The AI was "tested" for both Simulation Mode and Arcade Mode physics models. [Tip: If you run laps at Phoenix in the high 28secs to low 29secs, you'll find setting the AI Strength Slider to 94-95% to be just about right!] You will also find some really cool new "track cams" provided by Thorsten Rueter, with some really unique views!

Very Important: The Phoenix track AI enhancements included with this "track pack" are based on your also having JJ Johnston's "global" AI enhancement file. If you do not, you should go to JJ's website and download this file or the AI enhancements included with this track will not work properly. |

| I must say very nice work on all these tracks. I have one question, do you make tracks, or know someone that does? I have a Busch North Road Course I would like to have done.
