Hello!
Is there anyone that experienced problem with multiplayer in a LAN?
I have a router, but I'm not sure if it worked with it,
I'm sure multiplayer worked when the computers
were connected directly to each other
Now the problem is that it seems like the 2 computers doesn't
find each other, I type the same IP on both
(as for the host 192.168.0.2)
but they doesn't find each other...
It works well with other games, like SODA offroad or Powerslide
TIA

Make sure all software firewalls are turned off
First machine must host (naturally). All client machines has to type in the IP of the host machine and click connect. They will be presented with another screen and se nothing (no game) at all. No tell them to hit the "refresh" button untill they see the game.
If this doesn't work I'll be happy to anwser any other wuestions you got

Sorry...
I discovered that one computer wasn't patched to 1551
hmm, I don't remember I reinstalled it....well well...
I suspect that both computers must have the same carfiles?
if I use a car that is not on the other computer it will
show a different car, right?
Thanx for your help anyway |

You don't even have to use the same .exe to connect to each other. What is important is the IP if you use TCP/IP.
Example:
First machine, 192.168.0.1
Second machine, 192.168.0.2
Third machine, 192.168.0.3
and so on. You can NOT have the same IP on all machines.
Then, like I stated above, make sure all firewals and unnessesary programs are turned off, and make sure all clients hit refresh when they have clicked connect.
And yes, the game version is important

just det....
My router is 192.168.0.1
and the computers are .2 and .3 resp.
it works just fine with other games, so I didn't think
the network itself was the problem, there are not that
many games the work with the old P2-300 so it's great
that this does...
Now I'll see if I can keep up with my 7 y. daughter, she is making
59 seconds/lap at Chatham.... |

We had a full 52 race season going last year over at S.C.O.R.E. every first sunday of the month we raced ingame tracks. I think the record for Chatham dry was somewhere around 34 seconds in the ingame cars.
You should head over to discpads garage and get the JGTC GT-300 carset. Thats when the real racing starts
