all my other games works flawlessly including Call of Duty on all the highest settings...and flightsim 2004.....but f1 challenge ALWAYS crashes my system completely so that i have to hit the reset button anywhere from 3 mins to 15 mins of racing....doesnt happen till im actually racing...i can spend all day in the menus. i have tried 1280x1024 32bit 75hz (runs great till the crash) and i have tried 1024x768 32bit 85hz.....also have tried turning off replays and bumping sound down to speech content low and 8 sounds....none of this helps. PLEASE HELP ME, as this is an awesome game if i could just play it for more than a couple of mins.
Thanks,

Try installing it on another machine. I have bought games that didnt work before. It happens. Give that a go and see if it crashes, if it does you could have a faulty C.D.
Or........you can do what I do and not even bother with the game and just play the Mods . Try a mod out and see it that crashes too. Try a No-CD patch as well and look for current patches. G.L. |

2 things come to mind..1 is your system/gfx's card is getting too hot (perhaps through o/clocking), the other is i suspect your using possibly a 50.xx driver. These drivers have various issues with different games and different machines, the 45.32's are very stable. If it's still the same then at least 2 things are eliminated.

i think my drivers are version 52.14. as far as the temperature that the nvidia software shows my gcard isnt even close to overheating (although im not saying that isnt the prob) nothing in my system is overclocked.and like i said it runs Call of Duty and many of my other games at the highest possible graphics settings flawlessly for hours on end. could u post me a link to the 45.32 drivers? i havent had a chance to try the game out on another one of my machines yet, but i will. i have installed the etcc 2003 mod and i get the same results as i do when playing the normal game. i am using the no cd patch, i have tried it both ways though. and to my knowlegde there isnt a patch out for F1 Challenge yet. I have also went through this entire forum looking for someone with the same prob as i have and no dice there either. this is just too weird. i appreciate the help and please dont give up on me, as i do want to get this figured out cause its an awesome game. update: yesterday i took my copy of f1c back and exchanged for a brand new copy and did a complete uninstall and reinstall with the new copy. this did not fix the prob. i tried older drivers (45.23;44.01) and when i would run a game (that normally runs fine) the screen would go crazy...so i tried the 52.16 drivers....fixed the prob with the screen going crazy but not the prob with f1c that STILL LOCKS MY SYSTEM up after a few mins of racing.....this just isnt fair.....not when Call of Duty runs PERFECT w/all highest settings on 1280x1024 (75-90fps constant for hours)....and every other game i have for that matter.... PLEASE HELP ME! i have not been able to find the 45.32 drivers mentioned to try...my vid card isnt overheating...i have no clue....

Have you got your monitor drivers installed, and is the correct refresh rate selected when you do the 3DSetup?
